LORENZ C. AICHNER
Born in Salzburg, Lorenz C. Aichner began his piano studies at an early age at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and was soon performing publicly in Austria and Europe.
​
In 1997 he continued with conducting, choral direction, composition and vocal coaching at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.
He earned his Certificate of Excellence in 2003, as he was already conducting as Assistant to the Music director at the Erfurt Theatre. In the subsequent seasons he advanced to Principal Conductor.

In the season 07/08 Aichner accepted the position of Adjunct Choir Master at the State Opera Hamburg, followed by five years as the Assistant Music Director at the Theatre Hof/Saale.
​
Returning to Vienna in 2012, Lorenz C. Aichner debuted at the Volksoper Wien, where he has led many successful productions since.
​
The orchestras under his baton have included the Orchestra of the Volksoper Wien, the Tonkünstlerorchester Niederösterreich, the RSO Wien, the Orchestra of the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz, the Hofer Symphoniker or the Philharmonic Orchestra Erfurt.

Recepient of international awards, his activity has taken him throughout Europe an Asia.

His multi-facetted reperoire includes The Magic Flute, La Wally, La Boheme, Il Tabarro, Gianni Schicchi, Il Trovatore, Prince Igor, Boris Godunow, Die Lustige Witwe, Eine Nacht in Venedig, Gypsy, West Side Story or the ballets A Midsummer Nights Dream.
